Planning and Coaching - How it Works

Deciding to write a book is a big step and needs careful consideration. It takes time and commitment. This is why planning your book is important.

No matter what genre of book you're writing, having an outline will help you with clarity and allow you to finish your book without stress or worry that you've left anything out.

Panning is especially important for business-style non-fiction books and children's picture books. Knowing you've got all the right ingredients for your non-fiction book will speed up your writing and having your picture book mapped out will help you when you contact your illustrator.

I offer two planning options. A power hour where you can discuss anything connected with your book, including how to get started with the planning process, and a blueprint plan session which gets your book mapped out.

Of course, you might already have your book written - if so, and depending on the genre you may require a structural edit - simply head over to this page to find out more. Or you may simply require editing services, which can be found here.

If you've had all of those done and are ready for typesetting, then just visit here.

What the service offers:

Via Zoom, we'll talk for 60 minutes to determine how to progress with your dream of being an author.

Bonus: If you decide to progress to the 'Blueprint Plan Service', you'll only pay an additional £95 as we will have set up the groundwork, ready for your plan call. You will need a code for this discount, so please email me directly.

Blueprint Plan Session – £195

Our ‘Blueprint Plan Session’ walks you through the process and gives you the backbone of your book. It is produced with enough detail to make the writing process (of the content) stress free and relatively easy. In fact, once you have this plan written your book will almost write itself. But it does require some time and effort before your writing of your book can begin.

Perhaps you’ve already written a plan, but you're not sure if it’s in enough detail, or you just want another pair of eyes (someone who knows what a good plan should look like) to take a look and make sure it covers everything it needs too? Well this planning service will make sure that it is.

What the service offers:

  • A brainstorm of what you want your book to do
  • Making sure you’ve identified your target reader
  • We identify your call to action (what you want the reader to do once they’ve read the book)
  • An actual plan of your book – this is your whole book, mapped out ready for you to fill in the blanks
  • A schedule for writing your plan/or if you’ve written one, an overview of its content.

You will get an initial call with me (usually 30 mins) to discuss where you’re at, then a second planning call (approx 75 mins) where we map out your book and you have your blueprint ready for you to fill in and get writing.

Coaching iconCoaching

Writing a book can seem daunting – but with support, accountability and guidance you may be surprised at how easy it is.

You CAN take your writing dream and make it into a reality.

I’ve helped over 50+ business owners (who find writing a challenge or a chore) write a book that has helped position them as the ‘only logical choice‘ to their prospective clients. Writing a book as a way of getting qualified leads is one of the most effective ways to advertise your back end services and over 75% of my clients achieve over £15,000 of additional income because of their book.

However, it does take planning (mentioned above) and commitment, and doing this on your own can be challenging.

This is why I offer weekly or bi-weekly coaching programmes, especially designed for busy business owners who need help and accountability. I give one on one support, right from the beginning, and together we then produce a highly professional, properly printed book – ready to work for you and bring in highly targeted leads. All you need to do is follow my plan, finish the writing assignments I set each session and then you hand the Word document over to me – and I DO THE REST!

My team and I work with business owners like you, who want to become an ‘expert’ within your niche and to write and use a book to generate high-quality sales leads and grow their business, fast.

Book Coaching (flexible options to suit your own commitments)

  • Bi-weekly - £275 a month (most popular)

  • Weekly - £495 a month (4 x a month, one call each week)

This is what we cover;

  • Establishing the book's contents and creating a ‘blueprint’ of your book (this part of the service is covered in your monthly fee) including:
Getting a clear picture of your target audience (reader)
Setting a clear ‘call to action’ – and what you want the book to do once the reader has read it.
  • Setting up a timetable of writing and setting achievable writing goals, so that you keep the project moving forwards.
  • On going support – and regular feedback to new material written
  • Weekly / bi-weekly calls to make sure you’re staying on track

With this coaching support, you stay on top of your writing goals, have someone hold you accountable (the single most influencing aspect of getting a large project finished) and on going support and feedback to make sure you’re on the right track.

The fee for this service will be charged before your first strategy call, and billed every month.
