One of the 2 major reasons why people don’t write a book is that they think it’s too much like hard work because they don’t have enough material or they don’t have the time.
Well if you have been a reader of my blog for a while, you will know that I have written quite a few posts on how to overcome these issues, but people still think it’s too difficult, even though their business is screaming for this differential. So I’m just going to point to my latest testimonial from Paul Hajek to give you a real life example of how you could become a published author in as little as 8 weeks.
Paul runs a busy Conveyancing Solicitors firm, (Clutton Cox) and time for him is an extremely precious commodity, however we were able to re-purpose an existing report, (eradicating the ‘too much like hard work/don’t have enough material’ objection) and within 8 weeks he was a published author and selling his book on Amazon.
Taking existing material is a really smart way to get your book started, and in as little as 8 weeks you too could have enough content for a full 64+ page book.
By adding a book coach into the mix, (my services) he was also able to outsource a lot of the time consuming tasks, like typesetting, cover design, printing, and adding the finished product to Amazon.co.uk which eradicated the ‘don’t have time’ objection. All that was required was a few extra bits of material and an update of existing information. In total Paul added about 6 extra pages of A4 to his report which isn’t much when you consider the result.
Paul is not the only client to use this strategy, one of my first authors, Tim Wareing, used his already written game sessions from his website to produce his first book, ‘Toddler Soccer.‘
